Privacy
Updated November 6, 2026
In short: Memoroll has no account, no server of ours and no ads. Your photos and videos never go through us: they stay on your iPhone and in your iCloud. We only measure a few uses of the App, under a random identifier, never the content of your photos.
Who is responsible
DECKFUSE, SASU with a share capital of €100, 60 rue François Ier, 75008 Paris, France, Paris Trade and Companies Register 945 187 086, the publisher of Memoroll. For any question about your data: [email protected].
Your photos and videos
The photos and videos you take with Memoroll are kept in the App, on your iPhone: the original as your iPhone took it, and the version developed with the roll’s camera.
iCloud sync is on by default, and you can turn it off in your profile. When it’s on, your rolls and settings are synced, and your originals are backed up, in the private part of your iCloud, tied to your Apple Account. Apple stores them for you, under its own privacy policy; we have no access to them.
Your photos only show up in your photo library if you save them there, in an album named after the roll.
What we don’t do
- No account: we never ask for your name, email address or a password.
- No ads, no advertising identifier, no tracking across apps or websites.
- No selling or renting of data, to anyone.
Analytics
To improve the App, we measure a few uses with Mixpanel (Mixpanel, Inc.), on servers located in the European Union: the steps of the App’s introduction, views of the Pro offer, the start of a trial, a purchase, the first photo. These measurements are tied to an identifier drawn at random on your iPhone, with technical data (iPhone model, iOS and App versions, language, country), never to your name, your email address or the content of your photos. This isn’t advertising tracking: nothing is combined with data from other apps or websites. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the App is used. These measurements are kept for 25 months, then deleted. You can opt out at any time: in your profile, turn off “Analytics”, and the App stops sending anything to Mixpanel.
Subscriptions
To know whether your Memoroll Pro subscription is active, the App uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., United States), which receives the history of your Memoroll purchases (what you bought, when, the trial and renewals), tied to an identifier drawn at random, with technical data (iPhone model, iOS and App versions, your App Store country), without your name or payment method. Legal basis: performing your subscription. Transfers to the United States are covered by the safeguards provided for by the GDPR. This data is kept until 3 years after your last subscription ends (or, without a subscription, after you last used the App), then deleted.
iPhone permissions
The App only asks for what it needs, when it needs it:
- Camera: to take photos and videos in your rolls.
- Microphone: for the sound of your videos.
- Photos: to save your photos to your photo library when you ask, and, with Pro, to import photos into a roll.
- Location, optional: to note where your photos were taken. It stays with the photo, in the App and in your iCloud.
You can change any of these permissions at any time in your iPhone Settings.
Purchases
Memoroll Pro subscriptions go through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never receive your payment method.
This website
memorollapp.com sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads nothing from other websites: even the fonts are served from here. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data, such as your IP address, to serve the pages and protect them from attacks. Cloudflare is located in the United States; these transfers are covered by the safeguards provided for by the GDPR. If the site remembers your language choice, it does so in your browser only.
If you write to us
If you write to us, we use your email address and your message to answer you, and for nothing else. Our email is hosted by Google (Google Workspace). We keep these exchanges for 3 years after the last message, then delete them.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it, and to set instructions for what happens to it after your death. Since we hold almost nothing about you, deleting the App, then its iCloud data in Settings, your name, iCloud, Storage, Memoroll, is usually enough. For anything else, write to us at [email protected]. You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr), or with the authority of your country.
Children
Memoroll doesn’t knowingly collect data about children. If you think a child has written to us, contact us and we’ll delete the exchange.
Security
Your photos are protected by your iPhone’s encryption and, in iCloud, by Apple’s. The site is only served over HTTPS.
Changes
This page may change as the App evolves; the date at the top shows the latest version. If an important change affects you, we’ll tell you in the App or on the site.
